Riot officer candidate requirements
Valid driver’s license (If applicable)
Own Transport (advantageous)
Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF level).
Current PSIRA registration (Minimum Grade C)
Security training certification (Grades)
Riot training certificate
Full business firearm competency (Handgun/Shotgun/Carbine)
Use and handle Handgun (If applicable)
Use and handle Shotgun (If applicable)
Use and handle Carbine (If applicable)
Firearm statement of Results:
Use and handle – Handgun
Use and handle – Shotgun
Use and handle – Carbine (If applicable)
Valid regulation 21 certificate (If available)
No criminal record
Pass physically fitness test regularly
Valid Bank account
ID Document
SARS Tax Number (If applicable)
Must be fluent in English (Verbal and Writing )
2 years’ experience
