See below to view the criteria for our various security personnel positions:

K9/Dog handler candidate requirements

  • Valid driver’s license (If applicable)

  • Own Transport (advantageous)

  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF level).

  • Current PSIRA registration (Minimum Grade C)

  • Security training certification (Grades)

  • K9 / Dog handler training certificate DH3

  • Full business firearm competency (Handgun/Shotgun/Carbine)

  • Use and handle Handgun (If applicable)

  • Use and handle Shotgun  (If applicable)

  • Use and handle Carbine  (If applicable)

  • Firearm statement of Results

  • Use and handle – Handgun

  • Use and handle – Shotgun (If applicable)

  • Use and handle – Carbine (If applicable)

  • Valid regulation 21 certificate (If available) 

  • No criminal record

  • Must be fluent in English (Verbal and Writing)

  • Working knowledge of basic dog first aid (Advantage/Not essential)

  • Valid Bank account

  • ID Document

  • SARS Tax Number (If applicable)

  • 2 years’ experience as dog handler
